THE SOUND-AESTHETE

The speakers of the Reference series are, as the name suggests, the reference when it comes to speaker technology at NUMAN. Carefully selected components and a sophisticated tuning make their sound image unique. Thanks to the classic design and a wide range of colours, they blend seamlessly into every living space.

The NUMAN Reference 803 is a two-way centre speaker for home cinema systems and multi-channel sound. For this purpose, it offers a fine, nuanced mid-range and high-frequency resolution with a frequency response specially adapted to speech intelligibility. The D'Appolito arrangement provides a particularly wide spatial resolution with broad radiation characteristics. Due to its size, the frequency range goes considerably deeper compared to other models.

PURE SOUND CULTURE

Two 16.5 cm (6.5") woofers, a high tweeter with silk dome and built-in NUMAN sound guide as well as aluminium die-cast chassis, ferrite magnets and a closed wooden case with damping material made of acoustic convoluted foam guarantee an extraordinary listening experience with special detail.

For sound tuning, M8 threaded sockets are inserted into the bottom plate of the housing. This way, the spikes can be used directly without complicated conversions. These are optionally available in our shop.

For a true home cinema feel, the centre speaker can be placed on sideboards, a loudspeaker stand or directly on the wall under or over the TV. The stand features vibration-resistant silicone feet, which decouple the speaker from the floor and minimise unwanted resonances. The result is a much more precise signal reproduction.

The speakers of the NUMAN Reference series are typical 4 Ohm loudspeakers, which harmonise with every HiFi amplifier. In order to enjoy the full dynamics, it is recommended that you use a powerful amplifier with an output power of 120 - 200 watts.

There are four colours to choose from. Traditional in black or white and somewhat more individual in grey oak or rosewood.

With a more naturalistic approach, the Reference series has been designed without any covers. The most sensitive part of the loudspeaker - the tweeter - is protected by a metal grille and withstands every kind of finger attack.

If desired, however, the Reference 803 speakers can easily be fitted with a loudspeaker cover. There are two colours available: elegant silver or understated black. Thanks to the magnetic mounting system, they are easy to install and remove. The covers can be ordered separately or as a set.
